These are the latest, most curious and interesting rumours I can find. If you have a good rumour, please contact me! I will
always give you credit. So, take a deep breath, and read on, you may be suprised...
New Rumour (updated 12/28/01)
In a recent interview with JKR, she said more people were going to die, and that there
was a particular death that was going to be "horrible to write." One might speculate this death is going to be Ron
Weasley's. It is very possible that Ron Weasley's character is based on the legend of Running Weasel, a warlord of the 6th
Dynasty. A cunning fellow, Running Weasel never lost a game of chess and was killed by his yellow rat. This fits so perfectly
with Ron Weasley that perhaps one could not deny to oneself how likely it was that he is going to die. ~~~Contributed by

Someone e-mailed me and requested for ALL the facts of the 5th book. So, here it is: [If you also have a request,

There are a LOT of rumours: on message boards, chats, web pages/sites, etc. Some of them are very bizaare and probably very
unlikely; others, however, seem reasonable and possible. So, here are a gather of the "Bizarre" and "Possible"
rumours.

BIZARRE:
*Albus Dumbledore is part house-elf. [Because
when Harry asked him what he saw in "The Mirror of Erised," he replied "a pair of thick woolen socks."
And as we all know, socks represent freedom...for house elves, such as Dobby and Winky. But being part house-elf himself?...I
think that may be a litte too far-fetched]
*Lily Evans Potter is Voldemort's daughter. (Thanks, FenixFetherz!)
Uh...I don't know. I hope it doesn't turn out to be another Star Wars.
*J.K. Rowling is mentally disturbed.
[I don't think so...she just has a vivid imagination and creativeness that most of us do not possess. But Ms. Rowling is
definitely weird...in a good way. :-D ]
*The Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone will make a return. [I doubt
it, J.K. Rowling won't make a repeat...it just won't be so interesting anymore]
*Some of the dead characters
are going to be alive again. [That is definitely not going to happen, considering Dumbledore already said that nothing can
bring the dead back. It was also confirmed by J.K. Rowling]
*Dumbledore is on the bad side. [I also highly
doubt this. He was there for Harry since the beginning...even before he was born! Dumbledore had fought against the Dark
Side endlessly during Voldemort's reign.]

POSSIBLE
*Someone
will die in the 5th book. Possibly someone close to Harry. It was rumoured to be one of the Weasley Twins(thanks again,
FenixFetherz!). I certainly hope not. =o(
*Arabella Figg mentioned in GoF by Dumbledore is the same person
as Mrs. Figg...the old lady with cats who the Dursleys leave Harry to.
*"The Mirror of Erised"
will make a return. This piece of object is so mysterious that it just seems J.K. Rowling had left it unfinished in the first
book. It's real possible that Harry will have another encounter with it.
*Remus Lupin and/or Sirius Black
will have a love interest. Hmm...it could be an old love interest or someone new. Perhaps the new Defense Against the Dark
Arts teacher? Ms. Rowling already said in an interview that it will be a female teacher.
*More of the "past"
will be revealed. I'm not sure whose "past" it is. It seems everything points to Lily. But it could also be the
time when Voldemort was in power in general. What happened then and how and why James and Lily were killed.
*Hermione
might be made a prefect in the 5th year. I think that is definitely possible, considering she is very smart and hard-working.
*Harry and Draco will become friends and team up against evil force. I don't know, this one is a little shakey.
Most people would want this to happen, but I don't know J.K. Rowling will follow along with it.
*Hermione
will be made Head Girl in her 7th year. That is, again, very probable.

FACTS

~Book V~
* Remus Lupin will make a return.
* The real Professor Moody will be of more importance.
* Something small-medium will be revealed about Lily Potter.
* Why Voldemort killed James and
Lily.
* It will be called "Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix."
* "One of
Harry's fans will die." That is a quote from J.K. Rowling. I'm not exactly sure what it means. But, I think we all
have an idea.
* The book will be shorter than the Book IV. In fact, J.K. Rowling herself said that the 4th
book will be the longest of all. (NO!!!)
~Book VII~
*We'll finally find out why Voldemort
killed Harry's parents. And why he wanted so much to kill Harry.
* Something big will be revealed of Lily Potter.
* We will find out why some wizards die and become ghosts and some not.
* Argog(the old huge
spider in the CoS), Dobby, the Dementors, and Mr. Weasley's flying car will make a return.
* J.K. Rowling said
that the last word will be "scar." However, in a later interview, she said she wasn't sure and might change her
mind.
*Harry will visit a place that had been talked about but had not yet visited. More rumours claimed to
be Azkaban, Ministry of Magic, Godric's Hallow, or even far away places such as Beauxbatons and Durmstrang.
*We'll
know if "Aragbella Figg" is really that old Mrs. Figg down the street with cats. J.K. Rowling said "well spotted"
in an interview.
*We'll find out what did James and Lily did for a living and saved so much money.
*There
may be a new Quidditch captain, now that Oliver Wood is gone.
*There might be a girl named Icicle (in an online
chat, J.K. Rowling said to a girl whose screen name was Icicle and that she would be using her name in upcoming book(s))
*We'll find out what really happened with Neville's parents and how they ended up insane from the Crutacious Curse.
*Ginny plays a bigger role.
*Hagrid will use magic.
